1) This is the last NBL meet of the season before the NBL Championships next Friday!
2) Both Casa and Maria Carrillo Varsity and JV teams are undefeated, 5-0 in 2014 NBL XC meets; it's going to be an exciting competition!

4) Lots of our athletes should PR, come see them all run faster than they've ever ran before!

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 22:
MCHS Hosts NBL #3 meet on the MCHS campus vs. Newman and Ukiah
-Only running two races:
Combined Girls, then combined Boys
Event Schedule:
2:30 MCHS XC athletes released from class
2:45 Walking the campus course
3:45 Combined Girls race start
~4:15 Combined Boys race start

NOTE: There will be a JV Boys soccer game going on at the same time (starting at 4PM), so we could use 1-2 more people to help watch the front gate and guide/watch over spectators as runners take to the course to ensure we don't get in each others way...

-I still need to finalize driving plans AND NEED TWO ADULTS to help out/supervise for Aid Station #1 and #5 (e-mail or text Greg if you can help)

The meet is sanctioned by the Central Coast Section for all schools in California.
The Crystal Springs Course is 2.95 miles of rolling hills, all run on trails. The layout of
the course is excellent for both runners and spectators. Chemical toilets and drinking
fountains are available at the course. A full snack bar will be in operation as in past
years. We will again be selling the traditional, long-sleeved, Crystal Springs Invitational
T-shirts. There are no dressing rooms, so have athletes arrive ready to compete.
To cover the increased cost of course maintenance, and overall functionality of
the meet, admission will be charged at the entrance gate. All coaches and athletes may
enter at no cost. The cost of all Adults and Children 10 and over will be $2. Coaches
please pass on the information to your parents.
Please respect the private property in the area. Do not go on to people’s
property to get water or for any other reason. Please do not block people’s driveways.

...WHAT'S COMING UP FOR WEEK #8:
Tuesday, 10/7/14: 6-8PM Ohana Night at the Frediani's, 3945 Shelter Glen Way (off Fountaingrove and Rincon Ridge)
Wednesday, 10/8/14: Our first NBL dual meet vs. Rancho at RCHS (same course as Rancho Invite)
-Note: Greg will announce roster on Monday for this meet; some Varsity runners will not race and do workout at regular time (3:30 start at MCHS Track)
Logistics:
-Dismissed from class 1:45
-Bus driving one-way, leaving MCHS 2PM,
-Will run only 2 races, Girls at 3:45 and Boys at 4:30, should be done by 5:00
Saturday, 10/11/14: Crystal Springs Invite (note this is a change from original schedule; we are NOT going to the Clovis Invite in Fresno)
Logistics:
-Leaving MCHS 6:30AM
-Taking 1 bus round-trip to Crystal Springs Invite, returning ~5PM (TBD if we are going to stop by the beach in SF for a picnic or need to get back in time for others to get ready for Homecoming)
